Spring Blooms Await Up North

No Time for a Trip Down South?

Don't worry, you don't have to head south to enjoy Western Australia's stunning wildflowers. There are plenty of beautiful spots north of Perth where you can experience the magic of wildflower season!

Whiteman Park

Whiteman Park is home to more than 400 species of flowering plants, with something blooming all year round. Spring is the best time to visit, when the park bursts into colour and wildflowers are at their peak.

Keep an eye out for:

• Swan River Myrtle with its delicate pink blooms from late winter to early spring.
• Prickly Moses, covered in fluffy yellow flowers during September and October.
• Morrison Bush, which produces striking golden-orange flowers in early summer.

Even better, Whiteman Park is conveniently located between our two lovely caravan parks: Acclaim Kingsway Tourist Park and Acclaim Swan Valley Tourist Park.

Kings Park

Everyone knows Kings Park for its incredible views of the Perth skyline, but it's also one of the best places to see wildflowers in spring. Simply hop on the free Blue CAT bus and you'll be there in no time!

With more than 3,000 species of Western Australian plants, Kings Park comes alive with colour each spring. Some of the wildflower favourites include:

• Black Kangaroo Paw
• Everlastings
• Eucalyptus kruseana

Botanic Garden Discovery Walk

One of the highlights of Kings Park is the 17-hectare Western Australian Botanic Garden, showcasing thousands of native flowering plants from across the state.

There are two walking options:

• Short Walk: 20 minutes one way (40 minutes return)
• Long Walk: 1 hour 20 minutes return

It's a fantastic way to explore the garden and discover Western Australia's unique flora.

Bushland Nature Trail

If you'd rather see wildflowers in their natural environment, the Bushland Nature Trail is a great choice. This easy 25-minute loop walk, where you'll find wildflowers, local trees, and plenty of birdlife.

The trail is family-friendly and accessible, making it suitable for visitors of all ages.
