Meet our group of friendly guests and their pets all the way from Childers, QLD. They have all been friends of 40+ years.
Over a couple days we got to know them all pretty well, and heard stories of their gem fossicking and prospecting plans to explore around the area, on and off the beaten tracks.
They’ll travel through the Goldfields region, along the self-drive granite and woodlands discovery trail, and beyond.
Whilst the wives of the electrician, boilermaker, and paramedic, stocked up on supplies from the supermarket and enjoyed a coffee in the café, the husbands played the Nullarbor links golf course holes right next door to the park.
Towards the end of the day the aroma of camp cooking filled the air , Campers tell us they enjoy the quiet bush ambience or watching beautiful ring neck parrots and honey suckle birds weaving and darting through the trees playing chase.
As the bright and colourful desert sunset faded, it wasn’t long before the clear starry night sky quickly appears above, and a good night’s rest welcomed.
We look forward to seeing our friends from Childers and hear of their adventures when try return to stay for a few more days to rest, recharge, and relax before heading back across the Nullabor.
