How about a fishing trip with the family to celebrate Natural Albany week?
The City Marina offers rock fishing, on the landing or jetty for herring, bream and squid. Middleton Beach is so popular with families, with gentle waves, a jetty for fishing and The Three Anchors café right there on the beach so you can’t go wrong. Emu Point Channel offers shore fishing for herring, King George whiting and the occasional squid and small salmon.
If boating is more your style then you can’t go past King George Sound for whiting, squid, herring and flathead. Salmon in season and, of course, southern blue fin tuna. A short trip up the Kalgan river either by boat or a car will bring in some black bream.
Don’t forget to ask Carol and Brendan our park managers for some of their tips on local spots.
